Full Loan Scheme

We are devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of equines. None are ever sold, they remain the responsibility of the Sanctuary whether they are one of our permanent residents or are on loan to approved homes that are regularly monitored.

Our full loan scheme means your new friend will come and live with you, you have to do all the work, and pay all the bills, on average a horse costs about £2000 per year to keep. If we have an equine that is suitable we will come and do a home check if OK, you will have to cover the cost of transporting him to you.

We pride ourselves on the successful pairing of horse and carer, and do all in our power to make sure that when someone approaches us for an equine we match their requirements, knowledge etc. with a horse or pony that will be suitable.

If you would like a horse or pony on loan please complete and return the application form. We will then inform you if we feel a suitable horse or pony becomes available.

Please note our bigest concern is to find the best match of horse and carer, and it is NOT on a first come first serve basis, 

We regret due to our requirement to visit our loan ponies, we do not normally rehome outside of the SouthWest.

All our equines are required to have equine companions.

We request a Loan fee of between £150 and £550 Depending on the horse. This all goes towards the rescue and rehabilitation of the next horse or pony, and as we try to re-home for life this is not a lot of money. We maybe able to loan for short while a saddle, bridle, Winter Rug and head collar if required.
