 Urgent Appeal

This year has been the worst year in our history for loan horses being returned because of the financial problems of their carers, last autumn we estimated we would take 25-30 horses through the winter, because of loan horses being returned to us we actually took 40+.

With the New Year came the storms, although with regards to the buildings we have been very lucky with only a few being damaged, however the stored hay has not been so lucky and many of the bales are now unusable, this means we have to purchase more at a time when prices have significantly increased.

Are you able to help with either a donation of hay or a financial donation to enable us to purchase some?

Please help us to help the beautiful horses in our care.

Thank You

Sharon

We offer a safe, equine friendly centre for recovery, retraining and rehoming of Horses and Ponies.  Our primary aim is to re-home our friends with suitable human companions on a permanent loan basis off-site (typically in the south-west of the UK).

Formed and founded originally in 2000 by Sharon Vieira,  Hoofbeats is a registered UK Charity, (number 1133116). We have re-homed over 100 horses in the first 13 years of operation. We are totally dependant on donations, good-will and assistance from the general public and our supporters for our existence.  As always we thank our volunteers, patrons, sharers and loaners for their patronage. Every penny of their spend with us (money or time) is devoted totally to the welfare of our animals.
